Ashley Holcman is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in Art and Art History from Southern Illinois University and her Master of Science in Education in Counseling from Northern Illinois University. Ashley has been working in the counseling field for 9 years with experience working in community mental health centers, in a college setting, hospital settings including inpatient, intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization programs, and as an outpatient therapist. Ashley has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples in both individual and group settings. Ashley utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), but will tailor treatment to meet the purpose and need of each individual. Ashley addresses issues such as anxiety, depression, loss, substance abuse, relationship and family issues, trauma and helping people adjust to life in general. Additionally, Ashley is trained/certified in Trauma-Focus CBT, biofeedback, and holistic treatments.
